This new Cultural Center exhibition, on display from March 7-April 8, in all four main galleries, is about the art of motion.
Thursday, March 9, from 5-7pm.
The word “kinetic” relates to motion. Motion in space; objects in flux or changing. Kinetic energy is the energy an object has because of its motion. Artists have incorporated motion into art – to explore the possibilities of movement, introduce the notion of time, and bring a different kind of life and energy to their art. The Center's main parking lot is at the rear of the campus off Union Street, with overflow parking in the town lot on the corner of Old Main and Union Street or down Mill Street. The accessible parking spaces are near the accessible ramp entrance at the rear of the campus.
