Cape Cod Cranberry Day

The Green Briar Nature Center & Jam Kitchen in East Sandwich invites all to its annual Cape Cod Cranberry Day.  View cooking demonstrations in its historic Jam Kitchen using traditional cranberry recipes.  Enjoy a cranberry crumble dessert and cranberry bake sale.  Tickets are $5 at the door.  Reserve a spot for a tour of the neighboring cranberry bog at 11AM or 1PM.  Tickets for the bog tour are $10 and reserved online at www.thorntonburgess.org

Drop in for a family story time at 10AM featuring stories of Peter Rabbit and friends by Thornton W. Burgess.  Story time is free to members, $2 non-members.  View the gallery exhibit covering the life and work of Burgess, the renowned children’s author and naturalist, who was born and raised in Sandwich.   Browse in the unique Mercantile offering Green Briar’s jams, Burgess books and a wide variety of nature-related items and gifts.  Explore the grounds on a fine Fall day!
