2024 Paul Schulenburg- Painting the Model- Oil 2024 DATES: MAY 18-19 (SAT & SUN) TIMES: 9AM - 4PM

Working with the inspiration of a live model, Paul will demonstrate his approach to creating a convincing figure painting in oil.

Discussing composition, focal point, color temperature, edges and capturing the subtleties of mood, Paul will instruct students in techniques that will help them to achieve successful results. He will help students in mixing colors, using painting mediums, drying times, and how to use these elements to their advantage. All levels of ability and drawing/painting mediums are welcome. Students will have the chance to work with a clothed and/or nude figure, as well as having the option to work on portraiture.
