Cancelled! Big Brush Painting Workshop, with Joe Gallant

Learn how to create a particular feeling or mood in your painting. Experience the fun, freedom, and spontaneity of using large brushes, which are available at local hardware stores. Students will use water mixable oil paints or acrylics to complete their own painting during this 3-hour workshop. Utilizing a seascape reference photo, the instructor will demonstrate and guide students through the steps of creating their painting, which although starting with a reference, will be unique with the quality of the artist’s vision and brushstrokes. These workshops are suitable for adult beginners, intermediate painters, and past workshop participants. If you have ever felt unsure of yourself when you start a painting, here’s your chance to learn an exciting technique that just might change the way you paint! Until further notice, students over 12 in all Cultural Center classes will be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test conducted within 72 hours prior to the class. $90/$75 for members.
