Visual Arts: Painting
New England born artist Karri Allrich is a Fine Arts graduate of the Corcoran School of Art in Washington DC, where she majored in studio painting and photography. Known for her evocative coastal landscapes, impressionist still lifes, figures, and nature-inspired abstractions on canvas, panels, and paper, her eclectic artistic influences include Wolf Kahn, Richard Diebenkorn and Joan Mitchell.
After living on Cape for decades, and later exploring Santa Fe, Southern California, Oregon and Texas, she now creates in the quiet woods and wilds of Northeast Connecticut. She frequently visits favorite hiking and painting spots on Cape Cod, finding inspiration and creative renewal here in all four seasons.
