This comprehensive class will cover everything you need to start fermenting: ingredients, philosophy, preparation, and a vessel to ferment in. Jeremy Ogusky is a passionate fermenting evangelist, public health practitioner and studio potter living in Jamaica Plain. In his former public health life, he engaged in HIV/AIDS prevention with the Peace Corps in Southern Africa, health education in South America, and public policy in Washington, DC. The taste+making program is a series of classes that highlight the interdependent relationship of food and pottery. Students will enjoy a culinary experience taught by passionate local specialists and also get their hands dirty with a fun and easy clay project relating to the subject.
