We will go through a series of exercises designed to loosen your hand and train your eye to see the human form in a whole new way. Laura Shabott is a true Provincetown artist; multi-faceted and actively engaged in the arts colony. Her ODE TO HOFMANN series of ten paintings are works of the same still life arrangement created over many months, a classic assignment from the master teacher/artist to his students. She considers figure drawing the foundation of her studio practice and attends the Chester I. Solomon Life Drawing at PAAM.
Shabott is the recipient of a Romano Rizk Scholarship from the LOWF Museum School and a Cape Resident Scholarship recipient with a Returning Residency from the Fine Arts Work Center. A graduate of School of the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA), Boston at Tufts, she shows with Four Eleven Gallery in Provincetown.
