Blanchard - drawing Drawing Basics and Building Stronger Compositions-Julie Blanchard

This class is for beginners and those who wish to improve their drawing skills.  The class begins with learning to freely make marks on paper. Sketchbook exercises will aid in understanding how line, shape and shading create the illusion of reality. Building geometric and organic form using contour line, line texture and value will become the foundation of strong and confident drawings.  Knowledge in constructing better compositions will make use of masterpiece reproductions as a framework for original designs.  Working with observational studies and proceeding to still life composition you will sharpen your own observational skills.
