Becoming a Fearless Painter: On the Surface, with Odin Smith

Join Odin in a series of sessions that change their directive each month and are devoted to working in a smaller and more intensive learning environment, to improve specific artistic skills.

In June we will be focusing on learning different ways to incorporate textural mediums into our work.  Acrylic texture mediums can create effects that would be difficult or impossible to create otherwise (that is, by using just plain acrylic paint). Learn how to create impasto effects or sculpt the acrylic medium before it has dried on the canvas, use tools to carve into the acrylic medium after it has dried on the canvas and make acrylic skins. Texture will take your work in a new and exciting direction!

Please be prepared with your own textural mediums as well as reference material and any size canvases and supplies.
