Visual Journaling: Recording our Experiences with Images with Jessie Nickerson 

Presented by the Cultural Center of Cape Cod on four Tuesdays, beginning August 2, from 3-5pm. Are you interested in starting to journal, but struggle with the process of writing? Or do you love to write, but want to begin enhancing your work visually? Journaling with images can be both cathartic and cerebral. In this class we will explore a pictorial approach to journaling. Students will learn how to creatively document their daily life or travels using illustrative and collage techniques, experimenting with a variety of drawing materials. Along the way we’ll touch on elements such as design, composition, line, and color, all while learning how to organize our ideas into a visual narrative. Students will come away with a set of techniques that they can continue on their own if they choose.

This class is perfect for creatives who are stuck in a rut, as well as novices who want to explore their creative side. Open to all levels.
