Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill's 2015 Annual Silent Art Auction

Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill will host their 2015 Annual Silent Art Auction at the Castle Hill campus on Saturday August 8, 2015 starting at 5pm. 

Food will be served, and live music will be provided on the back deck by Steve Morgan and the Kingfish. Admission is $25, or $20 for Castle Hill members; donations to Castle Hill are greatly accepted. This is one of Castle Hill’s largest fundraising events of the year, with all proceeds to go towards programming.

The Silent Art Auction is a terrific opportunity to purchase original works of art, while simultaneously celebrating with Castle Hill’s community of artists. Works of art will also be donated by widely recognized historical and contemporary painters, sculptors, photographers, printmakers and mixed media artists, including Brenda Horowitz, Sarah Lutz, Bonney Goldstein, Ken Kewley, Martin R. Anderson, Fran Forman, Mischa Richter, Bernd Haussmann, Vicky Tomayko, Cherie Mittenthal, Mike Glier, Dana Pasila, Paula Roland, and a piece by Castle Hill’s founder, Joyce Johnson.

This year’s auction will also feature Castle Hill ceramic birds, handmade by Ceramist Brian Taylor and painted by well-known local and national artists such as Anna Poor, Robert Henry, Deborah Dancy, Adero Willard, Sarah Lutz, Daniel Heyman, Nancy McCarthy and Hannah Niswonger. These hand painted ceramic works will, without question, become highly collectible and coveted items.

Silent Auction bidding begins on Friday, August 7 from 2pm-6pm. On August 8 doors will open at 5pm; bidding ends in the three auction rooms at 6:30pm, 7pm and 7:45pm, respectively.
