Sketching for Scaredy Cats 2, Summer 2021

If you’ve always wanted to learn to draw better but were afraid you didn’t have the talent for it, Sketching for Scaredy Cats II is for you. This class is aimed at advanced beginners that have some experience in drawing. Classes will focus on techniques that will help you draw what you see, the way you see it, more accurately.

If you have some drawing experience, even from years ago, this class will be a better fit than Scaredy Cats 1.

Instructor Mary Richmond of Cape Cod Art and Nature has been teaching people of all ages to draw for over 35 years, and she believes anyone and everyone can learn to draw, given a few simple techniques and some practice. Students will learn various traditional techniques and will be able to draw from life with some skill and confidence after the 8-week session. All a student needs for the first class is 9 x 12” sketchbook (the kind with LOTS of paper) and a pencil. Nothing fancy. Don’t bother to bring an eraser.
