Steven Koppel is a local photographer whose imagery seeks to convey the raw beauty of Cape Cod, and the importance of the protection and enhancement of this extraordinary natural landscape. A Brewster resident for over 20 years, Steve can often be found with his camera being splashed by pre-dawn surf along the National Seashore, or immersed in Cape Cod Bay’s tidal flats under the stars. Steve is represented locally by the FOCUS Gallery in Chatham and donates proceeds from the sale of his work to the Association to Preserve Cape Cod. Steve’s new book, The Brewster Flats, is a collection of emotive images chronicling the extraordinary visual spectacles that occur in this ever-changing landscape.
