Opening Reception & Gallery Talk for Happy Place, CCMoA\’s Annual Members Juried Exhibition.

The theme of this year’s Annual Members’ Juried Exhibition is Happy Place.
Artists were asked: “When you’re feeling sad or stressed, where do you go (either in your mind or in reality) to lift your spirits? Perhaps your Happy Place not a place at all, but an activity? A person? A pet? A memory?” They were promoted to capture their “Happy Place” in a work of art. 155 artists responded to the call for art, submitting a total of 293 artworks submitted. Juror Peter Kalill, artist and proprietor of Orleans Modern Art, chose to include only 79 pieces, representing the work of 66 artists.
