The Cape Symphony presents “Mayflower and Beyond,” a celebration of humanity that includes powerful new works and Dvorak’s New World Symphony.
To commemorate the Mayflower’s arrival in 1620, Mayflower and Beyond features two new works co-commissioned by the Cape Symphony and the Plymouth Philharmonic. “Wampanoag: Stories For All Time,” by Native composer Tonya Wind Singer, features Native singer and storyteller Jonathan James Perry sharing beautiful, meaningful stories of the indigenous people who thrived here for centuries long before the arrival of the Mayflower. “Mayflower,” with music and lyrics by Alex Berko and ... view more »
