On Wednesday, February 22, kids can explore Art and African American musicians with Amy Wyman. Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans. Since the mid-1970s, people have used the month of February to take a critical look at the way African Americans have changed our history, culture, and national identity. We will look at the lives and work of black musicians as we listen to their music and have fun with expressive art

Winter Break Programs for Children
On Wednesday, February 22, kids can explore Art and African American musicians with Amy Wyman. Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans. Since the mid-1970s, people have used the month of February to take a critical look at the way African Americans have changed our history, culture, and national identity. We will look at the lives and work of black musicians as we listen to their music and have fun with expressive art activities. The group will listen, discuss, and create. Music will include Ella Fitzgerald, Sam Cook, Jimi Hendrix and more!
For Children 5-10 years of age.
Amy Wyman has a degree in Early Childhood Education and Child Life from Wheelock College and an M.A. in Expressive Art Therapies with a specialization in Music Therapy from Lesley University, and more than 15 years of experience. Amy currently works in the Falmouth School system and the Coalition for Children.
