Introduction to Gouache Painting with Patty Barnes 

Presented by the Cultural Center of Cape Cod on four Tuesdays, beginning March 7, from 9:30-11:30am.

No painting experience or drawing skills necessary. An Introduction to Gouache Painting is an opportunity to enhance one’s creativity and “playtime” as you learn a new painting skill. Gouache, an opaque watercolor, is non-toxic, fast drying, easy to use and highly forgiving. The class will focus on simplicity through the use of values, shapes and colors—always painting towards the light. If you can see, you can paint. The instructor will demonstrate staining and layering and then offer direction as participants work from photo references.
