Students will coil a small basket using raffia and paper cording. Each basket will incorporate small designs inspired by the arts of Africa.

Elizabeth Whyte Schulze is a fiber artist working in coiled basketry sculpture who has recently returned from a trip to Cote d’ Ivoire, Africa. In this workshop students will learn about her travels through books, photos and her recently completed sculptures. Students will coil a small basket using raffia and paper cording. The Center's main parking lot is at the rear of the campus off Union Street, with overflow parking in the town lot on the corner of Old Main and Union Street or down Mill Street. The accessible parking spaces are near the accessible ramp entrance at the rear of the campus.
