Learn about the filmmaking process from first ideas through first screenings. This four day,
hands-on workshop will cover topics including:
*Screenwriting
*Script development
*Production design
*Postproduction.
We will look at different forms that films can take (animation,
narrative, documentary), and study some examples of each genre.
We will also look wardrobe, lighting, sound and editing.
The course will be tailored to the ages and experience of the student pool.
Learn skills that will help you make a movie to submit to the 2022 Wellfleet Youth Film Festival later this year!
About the instructors:
Mariah Fidalgo is a costumer, ager dyer, and wardrobe supervisor for film, TV and Broadway. Some of her credits include The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Boston Strangler, Gemini Man, Madam Secretary, and Girl From the North Country (Broadway). She is also a clothing maker and co-owner of Wild Water Collective in Orleans.
Liz Giamatti is a filmmaker and photographer based in Wellfleet and Brooklyn. Credits include A Woman Like Me, All is Bright, Cold Souls and Pretty Bird.
