Watercolor Painting

The Cape’s extraordinary light has mesmerized artists and naturalists for generations. In this workshop you will learn how to allow light to enter into your paintings. Watercolor techniques including lifting paint, the use of washes and overlays of color, and wet on wet painting will be employed to aid in this process. Composition, form, color, and content will be cornerstones of the workshop. You may bring work in progress, objects for your subject, and photographs as your inspiration. Individual and group critiques will enhance your skills of observation. Self-expression is encouraged!
