Vernon Smith Art Celebration Weekend in Orleans

Vernon Smith wood cut

The Orleans Historical Society is hosting a weekend celebration of Vernon Smith including a Galley West Art Gallery fully restored 1933 wall mural.

Vernon Smith helped found the Cape Cod Art Association in 1948 and served as its president in 1951. He lived in Orleans and there are many pieces of his art around town. Galley West Art Gallery is located on the campus of Church of the Holy Spirit where many other examples of Vernon Smith's creativity will be on exhibit.
