Young rising Country singer Logan Michael has taken humble beginnings and turned them into a burgeoning career as one of the top new faces in the genre. His cutting icy baritone, mixed with lovesick lyrics about the frenetic and toxic uncertainty of young love and heartbreak has captured people’s attention, leading Michael to tap into the next generation of Country fans and beyond.
Originally breaking out on TikTok with his viral single “Angel Wings” Michael has been using the platform consistently to grow his fanbase, notching over 250,000 followers by posting clips of his songs with captions that resonate with his audience. While Michael is enjoying the ride of becoming a breakout artist, for him, it’s about making his version of the music he loved growing up.
As a kid in the mid-size town of North Attleboro, Massachusetts, Michael remembers listening to his dad’s old Alan Jackson CDs, eventually leading to teaching himself guitar in high school. For Micheal, bringing to life music he believes needs to be heard is the driving force for his artistry. “I would say the reason I make country is partially my upbringing and what I listened to growing up but also just the meaning and stories country songs bring to the table,” Michael said. “You can tell a real story in each song and there’s just something about it that’s special to me. It’s real.”
Realness is what Logan values the most in music. His heartfelt track “Leave Me Alone” details the struggle of allowing love into your life when you feel unworthy and poisonous to the idea of people getting close to you, grappling with finding solace in your darkest times. “I try to be really truthful in my songs and hope people feel the same way,” Michael said. “It seems that they really do, which makes me feel like I’m doing something right. I just want to make songs that mean something to me and people relating to it is just the cherry on top.”
After releasing his EP “Hope For Tomorrow” last October and delivering 2 buzzing singles (“Another Go” and “Whiskey Serenade”) in early 2023, Michael has been tapping in with big names and preparing for a year full of touring, something he’s been looking forward to for quite some time. He hopes to bring the connection he fosters on social media into a live intimate setting. “I could be singing to 20 people or 20,000 as long as someone feels what I’m saying that’s good enough for me.”
Whatever comes next, Michael just hopes his fans know that he’s with them every step of the way. “Down the road, I want people to remember my songs by heart and talk about me the same way you would talk about a friend. I want my listeners to feel like they’re not alone, and that I’m with them in every song they listen to.”
With a soulful twang to his vocals and a tireless work ethic that keeps him consistently delivering for his 750,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and beyond, Michael’s limitless potential is set to blossom into a fully-fledged new school rising star in Nashville.
