Two Short Plays: Exploring the Theme of Mindfulness

During this event, we will present two short plays that explore the themes of mindfulness and being in nature.

Knock Knock, by Karen McGarr depicts how a distracted woman finds peace and tranquility through mindfulness meditation.

Conversations at Walden by Pete Cormier follows a young woman as she visits Walden Pond and the cabin site of Henry David Thoreau, an early mindfulness advocate, who spent 2 years, 2 months and 2 days communing with nature.

Between plays there will be a brief guided meditation and after the show we will hold a talkback with actors, playwrights and audience members.
