PROVINCETOWN, MA — On Sunday, July 30 at 5PM the Great Music on Sundays @5 concert series will present “The Hyannis Sound” at the Unitarian Universalist Meeting House of Provincetown, 236 Commercial Street.
The Hyannis Sound is a professional a cappella group comprised of ten college-aged men from all over the country. Every summer, they convene on Cape Cod and spend their days rehearsing and performing at a variety of private and public events across the Cape and in the greater New England area.
In recent years, the group has amassed a social media presence of over 1.2 million followers across platforms. Their efforts on the popular social media app, Tik Tok, have led to being noticed by celebrities Ben Platt, James Taylor and even a virtual collaboration with Alicia Keys. The group’s repertoire is almost entirely different from summer to summer and spans genres and decades, making their performances great for everyone from ages 5 to 95. Founded in 1994, the group has been a Cape staple for nearly 30 years, and the Hyannis Sound is now something that ten guys are lucky enough to call their full-time summer job. Whether putting on their weekly concert series on the Cape or performing at weddings or birthday parties, the group is ultimately united by their passion for singing and bringing smiles to people’s faces wherever they go. Their annual performances in the Great Music on Sundays @5 concert series are always memorable.
General admission is $25, $20 seniors, $50 limited priority seating, ages 12 & under free. Donations are always welcome! All concerts are handicapped accessible.
