HJT presents THE BELLE OF AMHERST by William Luce.

August 27 – Sept. 6. Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 PM Sunday at 4 PM.

Starring Jane Staab. Portrait of 19th century American poet Emily Dickinson in her Amherst home. Based on her poems, letters and notes this stunning play recollects Emily Dickinson’s encounters with the significant people in her life – family, close friends, and acquaintances. It balances the agony of her seclusion with the brief bright moments when she was able to experience some joy. In tribute to our beloved muse and dear friend, Julie Harris.
