Sonia Bettencourt Sings Portuguese Blues at Summer Sunset Series

Sonia Bettencourt, accompanied by Jose Silva on Portuguese guitar and Jose Mota on guitar will entertain audiences outdoors on the East Lawn of PMPM against a backdrop of the sun setting over Provincetown Harbor.  Food and drink will be available from the Shallop Café and a cash bar.

Describing Fado music, Bettencourt says, “Some call it the Portuguese Blues.  For me, it is life itself, there is sadness and there is joy.  You don’t even need to know the words.  It’s something you feel.  When I hear the sound of the guitar I feel goosebumps and I have to sing.”
