Directed by Holly Erin McCarthy, She Kills Monsters by Qui Nguyen brings us in and out of the fantastical world of Dungeons and Dragons (D&D), and centers on Agnes, played by Cara Gerardi, an average woman, living an average life until it is upended by tragedy. From this dark beginning, Agnes embarks on an adventurous quest and discovers that the sister she held at arm’s length (Tilly, played by Anna Josselyn) was in fact a hero beyond her wildest imagination.
