Poems That Will Help Us Through

‘Poems That Will Help Us Through’ is a Zoom Webinar hosted by Major Jackson. The event features Jill Bialosky, Peter Filkins, Garrett Hongo, Maria Hummel, David Lehman, Sandra Lim, Sebastian Matthews, Alison Prine, Prageeta Sharma and Joshua Weiner. These poets are also featured in the 2020 Provincetown Arts Magazine. This event is dedicated to the memory of Chris Busa and includes a remembrance by Margaret Murphy.

For the safety and well-being of all, and in the face of so many uncertainties, the Fine Arts Work Center made the difficult decision to postpone our entire 2020 Summer Program and gather again in the summer of 2021. This decision was made with deep concern as we balance the significant loss of our community’s valued experiences on-site and the decisive loss of the Summer Program’s financial support of the Work Center’s storied Fellowship Program.

The Work Center’s Virtual Summer Series was created to keep our community connected with many of our Fellow and faculty poets, writers and artists who will be engaging in conversations with you from their homes and studios. We wish to thank members of the community who have already reached out to offer words of support and financial assistance. Working together we will evolve and innovate. We will be stronger.
