Join friends, old and new, at a reception replete with painters, writers, live music and libations. The featured exhibition includes works by some of the Cape’s most sought-after artists. Respected painter and instructor Maryalice Eizenberg with demonstrate oil painting, and master pastelist Amy Sanders will demonstrate her techniques, from 5 to 6 pm.
Mary McDermott, a 13th-generation Cape Codder, will be signing her books Salt in the Veins and Old Orleans: Memories of a Cape Cod Town. Jeff Norgeot will be signing Through My Eyes, a book of poetry inspired by his life along the woods and shorelines of the lower Cape.
Music will be supplied by Natalia Bonfini. Natalia was a top 50 finalist on American Idol’s 20th season. Reinventing popular covers, Natalia mashes up genres from soul to classic rock and back to her blues roots. She has a sound reminiscent of Amy Winehouse and Janis Joplin, and commanding lyrics such as those of Alanis Morissette.
Plus, the French Cable Station Museum next door will be open from 2:30 to 4:30 pm.
