Olivia Chindamo Jazz Trio

Falmouth Jazz and West Falmouth Library present Olivia Chindamo and Matthew Sheens with special guest Evan Harris in concert on Sunday, March 17th at 7 pm at the Library. An exceptional pairing, the duo transforms the simple piano and voice format into a playground of musical exploration. Spanning both sides of the Pacific, their boundless imagination and shared lived experiences as Australians and now-New Yorkers influence the stories they tell.

Performing revered classics and lesser-known works from the Great American Songbook, artfully curated with the duo’s own compelling compositions, listeners will be transported to a stunning reverie with their enchanting melodies and sentimental storytelling.

Olivia and Matthew are thrilled to invite award-winning NYC-based Australian jazz saxophonist Evan Harris to join them for this special performance.

Fresh from their performance at Festival PAAX in Mexico, the trio’s effortless ability to capture the sensibility of each song and story is a delight, with their respective artistic voices blending seamlessly.

It makes sense to assume that this trio had known each other and worked previously in Australia before relocating abroad, however it was in fact here in the United States that this collaboration came to be, meeting each other through their various friendship circles and schooling at the Juilliard School and the New England Conservatorium.
