Born in Rockland, Massachusetts, Regina Milan has been drawing and painting all her life, watercolors and pastels were constant companions. She has spent years in the discovery of flora and fauna forms, the jewels of nature, including abandoned seashells, shore birds, and marine life that are captured in her paintings. Nature holds a spellbinding beauty for Milan. Her work magnifies nature’s productions fully illuminating the elegance of life as small as a mermaid’s purse. At heart, she is a naturalist whose work combines her love of the environment, science, and art.
Regina attended the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Design and Illustration and earned an MFA in Graphic Design from Boston University. In 1998, she founded MILAN Concept & Design, a graphic design firm. Her work in advertising has won her several awards, including seven NEDMA awards, ECHO awards, and Prism awards.
Regina received a botanical painting certificate with the Society of Botanical Artists, 2007, London, England, graduating with distinction and receiving the President’s Award for the highest achieving student. She is a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists, an associate member of the SBA, London, and a founding board member of the New England Society of Botanical Artists.
