Longing and Anticipation

At this time of year, when the days are short and the temperature drops below freezing, we can sometimes get lost in
contemplation – Longing for times gone by, or waiting in Anticipation of a more promising future.
The artworks in this exhibition resonate to one of these sentiments and are divided within this gallery space by theme.

Pouring through the high-resolution digital images recently captured during the digitization project we completed this last summer, Cape Cod Museum of Art (CCMoA) Docents selected these 62 artworks from over 2000 held in the CCMoA Permanent Collection. The Docents also provided brief biographies for each artist represented in this exhibition. These biographies can be found on the wall labels.
