Intensive Pottery Workshop with Chelsie Starace

Through this optimal one day intensive pottery workshop, potters will expand their skills into a professional presentation by refining concepts in form, learning decorative surface techniques and methods in glazing. The morning session will include lectures/discussions, demonstrations and one on one teaching to introduce specific topics for developing forms and the importance of surface design. The afternoon session potters will start with a handmade brush demonstration (students will create one in class use and take home) and bring 2-3 bisque fired wares (cone 6 clay only) to decorate with demonstrated surface techniques and glaze. One on one teaching will ensure student understanding of methods. Please bring 2-3 bisque fired (cone 6 clay) cylinder shaped wares and sketchbook.
