Golden Lane Irish Music, A Prelude to St. Patrick's Day

Please join us at Highfield Hall & Gardens to get ready for St. Patrick’s Day with Golden Lane.  This group of musicians from the Southeastern New England area specializes in performing the lively dance music of Ireland (jigs, reels, etc.) in a traditional style. They also perform songs in English and Gaelic. The band is made up of Mark Oien and Fern Tamagini-O’Donnell on fiddles; Colin Everett on uilleann pipes and whistle; John Macdonald on guitar, banjo, and vocals; Bill Black on bouzouki, banjo, and vocals; and Pat Black on the bodhrán (Irish drum).

Students from the Maureen Haley School of Irish Dance will also perform a few numbers add to the fun.The group’s performances are always “family-friendly” and interaction with the audience for questions about the music or the instruments, kids dancing, clapping and foot-tapping, are always welcome. The show will run for 90 minutes with no intermission.
