"COME TOGETHER 2022" at Cross Rip Gallery in Harwich Port - Meet the Artists!

As we continue our Season Series, “Come Together 2022”, we are pleased to have featured three invitational artists: Barbara E. Cohen, Rebecca Levitan and Mellissa Morris. These diverse talents work respectively in mixed media and polaroid photography, acrylic and paper  and other mixed media  to create beautiful, unique artworks.  Barbara’s creations are enhanced by her humanitarian work with the lives of displaced people. Her personal politics are projected throughout her abstract paintings, photographs and sculpture from her past and present surroundings. Rebecca’s work  attempts to distill the contemporary visual world—chaotic and contextless, overwhelming in its variety—and to pass it through the low-tech, idiosyncratic filter of her hand, in order to make paintings about the big feelings in small moments. Together, her pieces form a body of work as disparate as the world that informs them, but linked by an interest in everyday moments and the vernacular image. Mellissa is intrigued by the creative act as a form of spiritual and personal growth. She is as much a magician, mathematician, scientist, alchemist, and healer as a she is an artist.

Please join us at the closing reception for these three artists on October 16th, with refreshments 3-5 pm served outside in the garden. We will also be displaying work by Ellen C. Davies, Sally S. Fine, John Howard, Leslie Kramer, Eveline Luppi, Suzanne M. Packer, Heather Pilchard, Kate Nelson, Alla Zbinovsky and Georgene Riedl  in the the other gallery rooms.
