CLASSIC MOVIES SERIES AT FALMOUTH CINEMA PUB SUPPORT THE CAROUSEL OF LIGHT.

The partnership between the Falmouth Cinema Pub and the Carousel of Light continues to offer a series of classic movies during March and April.  Wednesday is the new night for dinner and a movie.  Doors open at 6 p.m. for the 7 p.m. screenings.  Arrive earky to order food and beverages, and to enjoy classic music videos.  Suggested donations of $10 per person will provide funds for maintenance and improvements to Falmouth’s own hand-carved horses and vintage mechanism.

On Wednesday, March 11, Sidney Poitier, Katharine Hepburn, and Spencer Tracy star in “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner,” directed by Stanley Kramer.  This film would be appropriate for older children to attend with their families, an opportunity to discuss racial issues in the United States.

On Wednesday, March 25, the film will be “Singin’ In The Rain.”  Say goodbye to winter with Debbie Reynolds, Gene Kelley, and Donald O’Connor.  Stanley Donen directed this musical story of the film industry’s transition from silent movies to “talkies.”

On, Wednesday, April 8, we bring back last season’s popular World War II story, “Casablanca,” starring Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, and Paul Henreid, directed by Michael Curtiz.  Our 2014 screening was a sell-out crowd, so send in your emails to reserve a seat.

Our final film is “The King and I,” starring Yul Brenner, Deborah Kerr, and Rita Moreno.  Walter Lang directed this musical of a British teacher and the King of Siam.
