When the Nantucket whaleship "Globe" left Martha's Vineyard for the Pacific, one whaleman harbored dreams of becoming king of his own South Sea Island. That fantasy ignited what turned out to be the bloodiest whaleship mutiny in American History. The Center's main parking lot is at the rear of the campus off Union Street, with overflow parking in the town lot on the corner of Old Main and Union Street or down Mill Street. The accessible parking spaces are near the accessible ramp entrance at the rear of the campus.
