"An Afternoon with Author Casey Sherman"

The Hyannis Public Library Association invites you to “An Afternoon with Author Casey Sherman” to be held at the Hyannis Yacht Club on Friday, October 9, 2015 from noon to 3 p. m.  This event is a benefit to raise much-needed funds for the Hyannis Public Library.   Admission price is $40.00 per person and includes a buffet luncheon.  A cash bar will be available.  Proceeds from a silent auction and raffle will also benefit the Hyannis Public Library. National bestselling author and Hyannis native Casey Sherman presents the incredible true story behind his acclaimed book The Finest Hours: the True Story of the U. S. Coast Guard’s Most Daring Sea Rescue. Sherman will share his thrilling account about the greatest small boat rescue in American history that took place off the coast of Chatham.  The Finest Hours has been made into a Disney movie, filmed here on Cape Cod, starring Chris Pine, Casey Affleck, and Eric Bana.  Like the book, the film is destined to be a blockbuster and will be released on January 29, 2016 in theaters worldwide.
