Advent Organ Meditation: His Light in the Darkness

Come Celebrate the Light and Hope of the season! Hear the Saint Cecilia organ at the Church of the Transfiguration in Orleans on Sunday, December 11 at 3:30 p.m. Embark on a journey with the Angels, shepherds, Holy Family – even the star! – thru the music of Langlais, Buxtehude, and Dupré. The concert will be performed by organist Dr. SharonRose Pfeiffer, artist-in-residence at the Church of the Transfiguration.
The newly completed surround-sound pipe organ, restored by Nelson Barden of Boston, is comprised of parts of twenty-seven different E. M. Skinner organs, includes over 12,000 pipes, and is the only one in the world with its particular surround-sound configuration.
