Actor and comedian Kevin Flynn takes on questions of manhood and success, as measured by his blue-collar, Irish-immigrant family, in his one-man play Fear of Heights.

Flynn tells the often funny and bittersweet story of his Irish Catholic immigrant family and their successes in America. How does he measure up to them? The men, Flynn’s grandfather and father, worked in physically demanding and dangerous jobs as high-rise iron workers helping to create 20th-century New York City. ADMISSION INFO

Flynn’s performance of Fear of Heights happens on Tuesday, July 27, at 7 pm, 529 Main Street in Hyannis, a former retail space and now an event and community center owned and operated by Sturgis Charter Public School. Tickets are $40 for general admission, non-reserved seating, available via Eventbrite. Doors open at 6:30 pm. The event producers will allow distanced seating for non-member households and encourage attendees to follow current CDC guidelines for large gatherings, including the wearing of face masks, especially for those who have not be vaccinated against COVID-19.
