Acting Workshop With Jeff Zinn

On Saturday, August 19th, Jeff Zinn, best known as the longtime artistic director of Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater (WHAT) will lead a master class at Wellfleet Preservation Hall. In the two-hour session he will share what he can of the rich vocabulary of acting techniques that derive from figures as varied as François Delsarte, Constantin Stanislavsky, Michael Chekhov, Jacques Copeau, Suzanne Bing, Peter Brook, Jerzy Grotowski, Viola Spolin, Lee Strasberg, Sandy Meisner and Stella Adler. The workshop is a prologue to a series of classes that will be offered in September that will explore this rich practice in more depth. Enrollment is limited. Zinn is the author of The Existential Actor: Life and Death, Onstage and Off (Smith & Kraus, 2015) and creator of the upcoming podcast, Gurus: the Story of Acting – from Stanislavsky to Succession.
