A Hero's Journey: Music of Fairytales, Myths, & Legends

Songs and arias in a variety of styles and languages, all drawn from adaptations of seminal fantasy legends. The concert is structured in a way so the performers and audience members travel together on a musical adventure along the steps of the archetypal Hero’s Journey. Most of all, this concert is meant to bring us together as a community. The program draws on stories that persevere again and again in human history to connect the artists and audience to each other, and to something bigger than ourselves. I want to use this music to share a message of love, hope, and courage, which I think is especially necessary when our real world often seems lonely and bleak.

It’s a relaxing and uplifting afternoon of music, and it’s also a great introduction to classical and musical theatre repertoire for people of all ages.
