Sundays at the Cahoon: Gallery Tour with Executive Director and Curator Sarah Johnson

Join the Cahoon’s Executive Director Sarah Johnson for a tour of the Brenda Kingery: Weaving Messages exhibition. Attendees  will have an opportunity to learn more about the artist’s Chickasaw heritage and how of her studies with a renowned sumi-e painter in Japan, and her travels to Mexico and Central America, have influenced her work. The exhibition includes paintings from her formative years through new contemporary work and the tour will include a discussion of how she has blended her global experience with her own painting style.
