The Cahoon Museum of American Art, located in Cotuit MA, presents compelling contemporary and historical rotating art exhibitions. Housed in an authentic 1782 homestead with a modern gallery addition, the museum’s holdings include a significant collection of American art. In addition, the museum collects and displays the paintings and decorative art of the famous Cape Cod folk artists Ralph and Martha Cahoon, who lived and worked in the building for over 50 years. The museum has an extensive gift shop, an exhibition study area, and offers docent tours, programs, and events throughout the year. It serves as a unique one-stop opportunity to engage with broad regional culture, both past and present.
