THE ART AND CRAFT OF LIVE STORYTELLING

THE ART AND CRAFT OF LIVE STORYTELLING

Presented by Truro Public Library at Truro Public Library

Your stories matter. The power of telling our personal stories is immense. Storytelling creates community and offers catharsis. It bridges the individual with the universal, and reveals our shared humanity. In an increasingly digital world, it’s no surprise there is a renewed longing for shared, authentic experiences with one another, and ourselves. Storytelling events like The Mosquito, present to sold-out audiences and draw podcast listeners globally. Individuals, companies and organizations are leveraging the intimacy of personal stories as a way to more deeply connect with their communities and missions.

Whether you are preparing for the TED stage, are an aspiring story slam participant, or want to connect your professional mission to your purpose, preparing and sharing your personal stories builds confidence and trust, while cultivating empathy and offering humor.

Bring the story you want to tell to life in a fun, supportive, results-oriented environment!

Participants should bring writing utensils or laptop and a smartphone or other audio recording device.
