Tour historic buildings in the Spring Hill area of East Sandwich, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
You are invited to visit sites in the Spring Hill neighborhood including the Green Briar Nature Center & Jam Kitchen, the Wing Fort House built in 1641, Wing History Museum, East Sandwich Friends Meeting House built in 1810, the Blueberry Bog, Niilo Ahehon House, the Clark Hoxie House (a classic 1752 saltbox) and Shirley's woods. Special lectures and presentations on colonial gardens, family life in the 1900's and Quaker history will be offered.
Tickets are $10 and cover admission to all sites. Advance tickets are available online at www.thorntonburgess.org and in person at Green Briar Nature Center, Titcomb's Bookshop and Scenic Roots Garden Center on Rt. 6A. Tickets and a map will also be on sale the day of the tour at Green Briar from 9am to 3pm.
