Presented outdoors at Edgewood Farm (Truro Center for the Arts) by Bass River Press on Sunday, September 26. All are invited to celebrate the launch of a new anthology from Bass River Press, an imprint of the Cultural Center of Cape Cod. From the Father Shore: Discovering Cape Cod and the Islands Through Poetry is a collection of 118 contemporary poems which meld the outer and interior landscapes of the Cape & Islands so that the reader discovers, as if for the first time, the spirit of a place that calls us home. Not only do these poems converse with one another, they are poems that could not have been written about anywhere else. Several of the anthology's poets will read their work at the launch, where the book will be available for purchase. The event is free and open to all, but please bring your own lawn chair!
