As the Truro Public Library celebrates its 20th Anniversary in its current location by recalling the past, reviewing efforts to advance and looking forward to what is yet to come, this exhibit hopes to spotlight some of those ideals. Truro Artist Kenneth Hawkey has long been involved with the Truro Public Library in several capacities; as a staff member, volunteer, teacher and presenter. Hawkey’s exhibit is part of the library’s 20th year celebration throughout the month of August and it is presented as a retrospective with work from several past exhibits from several different venues including the Truro Public Library. Landscapes, architectural renderings and depictions of easily recognizable historic sites dominate the review of his richly rendered work. The exhibit is curated by Stephen Briscoe of Larkin Gallery and Post Office Gallery.
