Viscosity Collagraph with Sarah Riley

Viscosity Collagraph with Sarah Riley

Presented by Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill at Truro Center for the Arts

Viscosity inking allows several colors of ink to be printed at the same time from one plate. We will print our plates using traditional etching inks, utilizing a no solvent clean-up. Our mixed-media approach to printmaking will also include drypoint, monotype, stencils and chine colle techniques, as desired.

Sarah Riley is a painter/printmaker based in Wellfleet. She is Prof. Emeritus, former Chairperson and Head of Printmaking at Southeast Missouri State University. Her book, Practical Mixed-Media Printmaking Techniques, was published in 2012 by A&C Black, London. She studied at Virginia Commonwealth University; Tyler School of Art, Rome; Societa Dante Alighieri, Florence, Italy; and University of Missouri, Columbia. She is a member of MGNE, Monotype Guild of New England, and is represented by Viridian Artists NYC. www.rileystraussgallery.com
