Tools and Mark Making with Suzanne Siegel

Tools and Mark Making with Suzanne Siegel

Presented by Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill at Truro Center for the Arts

We will make our own brushes and tools from things we find in nature such as grasses, twigs, feathers, leaves, shells, rocks, etc, and forces of gravity. We will use our tools to make marks on paper and other surfaces with inks, paint, charcoal, and other mediums. Demonstrations, slide presentation, critiques, and group discussion are included. All levels are welcome.

Suzanne Siegel takes long walks in places where sea, sky, and land converge, making drawings and searching for ideas for compositions that communicate arrangements of space and luminous light. Suzanne's studio is in Guilford, CT. She is currently represented by Cove Gallery in Wellfleet, MA; Cape Gallery Framers in Falmouth, MA; Archipelago - The Island Institute in Rockland, Maine; and Wall Street Gallery in Madison, CT. She teaches workshops and private classes throughout the Northeast, and is also available for individual art mentoring.
